"Have you pong?", the slogan of my favorite dessert place in *SCAPE shopping mall. Pong serves up some of the most refreshing and delicious lactose-free gelato and sorbets around, and it's a convenient on-the-go treat when shopping around!


A sneak peak to their selection of toppings to choose from! From the back row; Grass jelly, Sticky rice, Milo balls and Cornflakes. Middle row; Nata de coco, Aloe vera, Attap seed and Pearls. Front row; Corn, Red bean and Peanuts.

Served in a coconut husk, their best seller is a scoop of coconut gelato and a sorbet flavor of your choice. With a selection of banana, mango and passion-fruit, I decided to get the banana sorbet. For my toppings, I went with peanuts, aloe vera and pearls.

The coconut gelato was perfect together with the coconut flesh from the husk, with it's smooth and dense creamy consistency. The strong refreshing tropical coconut aftertaste is also what makes this gelato so good.

The banana sorbet was just as good and refreshing as the coconut gelato. The flavors of the bananas were very pronounced as no milk was used, thus it resembles a mix of an ice-cream and mashed bananas.

The holder of the dessert is a cup, half-filled with coconut water to quench your thirst.


The quality of their sorbets and gelato are really excellent and its worth a try whenever you pass by *SCAPE.
