21 CUBE Artisan Ice Cream - Ice-Cream Rolls At *SCAPE

21 CUBE Artisan Ice-Cream is one of the few places that sells the new dessert trend - "stir fried" ice-cream rolls! The reason for its name is due to the method of preparation, where a liquid flavored mixture is poured onto a cold surface and "chopped up" till its frozen in the shape of a thin sheet before being rolled up.
.
So ordering is as simple as choosing a base and with either one or two mixer.

There are six bases to choose from; Chocolate, Vanilla, Matcha, Yogurt, Plain and Yakult.

There is also quite a number of mixers to choose from which includes; Banana, Raspberry, Blackberry, Strawberry, M&M, Cranberry, Oreo, Dragonfruit, Milo, Kiwi, Kinder Brueno, Longan, Kit kat, Lychee, Raisin, Mango, Red beans, Peach and Nutella.

1 BASE + 2 MIXER ($5.40)
Note that it took 10 minutes for my ice-cream to be ready despite only a short queue. I was actually quite fascinated at the preparation, so I didn't mind the wait.

So I decided to get Yakult for my base with lychee and mango for my mixer.

The flavors of Yakult was really distinct in the ice-cream rolls and they weren't too sweet.

There were small chunks of the mangoes and lychee, but it didn't influenced much in the taste except for textural contrast.

There were three types of sauces that you can choose to drizzle over; Chocolate, Strawberry and Caramel.

You could ask for all three, but I just opted for chocolate and strawberry sauce.

The unique attribute of the rolls I should say would be the texture. It was slightly hard and flaky, unlike your usual soft-serve. The best part would be the customization and also the amount of effort put into each rolls by the staffs.

I would recommend to try the rolls out if you haven't, but only if there is a short/no queue for it.
