PINEAPPLE FRIED RICE ($5.00)
While some prefer steamed white rice, the bright yellowish turmeric stained rice has a fragrant aroma.
Despite being named "fried rice" it somehow still retains the texture of steamed rice - just slightly.
The bright yellow rice stained by the turmeric powder came out steaming hot and was really fragrant. The rice was gently seasoned and didn't overpowered the other dishes you will see later on.
To add more depth of flavors, Rousong was added for that sweet-salty kick and fried shallots for that sharp onion flavor. The pineapples were sweet and not sour at all, complimenting the dish nicely.
Hidden from sight were also some baby shrimp as well as small bits of Chinese sausage!
This is definitely one of the must have on everyone's table.
TOM YAM SOUP (4.00/7.00/10.00)
I seldom order tom yam soup especially after a disappointing meal at a waterfront restaurant.
However my instinct decided to order a small bowl without any hesitation.
A murky orangey-brown bowl of soup landed on my table. I took a sip of the soup and it was nicely seasoned and not too spicy at all. It also has a comforting balance of sweetness and sourness.

Take a look at the amount of ingredients just in this small bowl! There were squid, grouper fish, prawns and mushrooms! What a treat!
The prawns were fresh and the shells separated from the meat so easily! The meat were plump and juicy with a naturally sweetness to it.
The grouper were simply soft and tender. Nicely cooked and not dry at all.
This dish definitely exceeded my expectation.
SWEET POTATO LEAVES WITH BELACHAN (5.00/8.00/10.00)
I'm a huge fan of sweet potato leaves and kang kong, and when I saw that both were offered here in this restaurant, I had to make a choice. Sweet potato leaves with belachan was my decision.Sadly I couldn't taste the belachan and the sweet potato leaves were really bland. Overall I feel it tasted like boiled vegetables.
DEEP FRIED CUTTLEFISH (8.00/11.00/14.00)
The portion of the cuttlefish was actually very impressive when it arrived on the table piping hot. The cuttlefish was deep fried in a simple seasoned batter, creating a perfect crispy crust. After biting through the crispy crust, is the firm and tender piece of cuttlefish. I just love the thickness of the cuttlefish - just right.
This is a definite must have on the table for sure. It was hot, crispy and deliciously tender.
THAI DEEP FRIED FISH DELIGHT (14.00/17.00/20.00)
This is their famous signature dish. A deep fried fish that I supposed is the grouper fish.A light and thinly battered fish that is lightly seasoned. Quite a contrast from the deep fried cuttlefish. The fish contains many small bones which some may find troublesome.
The piece of fish had was flaky and moist, with a delicious crust. Despite being cooked at such a high heat, the fish wasn't dry at all.
I feel that credit to this signature dish belongs to this sauce. This sweet-tangy sauce has a nice balance of flavors with a nice consistency to coat the fish meat nicely.
It's so good, it can be a dip for anything!
The heat definitely builds up over time and I feel that the red chili sauce was sweeter and spicier than the milder green chili sauce.
Some may say this is not authentic Thai cuisine, but this place definitely whip up some good tze char food. One of the best in the area.
