Tuk Tuk Cha - Delicious Thai MilkTea & Shibuya Toasts

Almost everyone who visits Bangkok would have heard of the popular After You dessert café. Fans of their signature Shibuya honey toasts can now visit Tuk Tuk Cha at four outlets across Singapore to get the next best thing.

SHIBUYA TOAST - ALOHA COCONUT ($10.80)
The Shibuya toast was a delight with its crispy exterior drizzled with chocolate sauce while the contrast in it's well executed soft-buttery interior makes it so good with any toppings. The aloha coconut is a combination of coconut ice-cream, grated coconut and it's soft sweet flesh piled on the toast, complimenting the buttered toast perfectly and making this a refreshing and decadent dessert you must try.

STICKY RICE WITH MANGO ($6.00)
Seldom do I enjoy a sweet and salty dish combination, however the sweetness from the juicy mango was a definite winner for me. The sticky rice had pleasant chewy texture with a coating of coconut milk giving it that slight salty flavor profile that I see most people will enjoy with the sweet mango.

GOLDEN TOAST - HOMEMADE THAI TEA KAYA ($3.80)
The golden toasts were nicely presented on a wooden board with a side of homemade Thai tea flavored kaya. With eight cubes of crispy golden toasts, it resembles the mini version of the Shibuya toasts. The kaya has a runny consistency with a mild tea flavor profile that isn't too sweet either.

GOLDEN TOAST - CONDENSED MILK AND MILO ($3.80)
Many would have tried this sweet combination with regular bread before, so it's no surprise to see it here. Imagine condensed milk and milo powder on a piece of toast, but better.

THAI MILK TEA ($3.20)
One must definitely complete any meal here with their signature Thai milk tea. Ice-cold and fragrant milk tea with the perfect amount of sweetness and thick consistency, with a pleasant astringent finish. This has to be considered one of the best Thai Milk Tea I've had in Singapore.
