Gyoza-Ya - Its All About The Dumplings!
SUI YASAI GYOZA ($4.80)
This dish is translated to boiled Gyoza with mixed vegetables and topped with a sweet miso sauce. The first bite after piercing the soft delicate casing, you will feel the textures of the different vegetable followed by the sweet miso sauce tingling your palate for more. A vegetable mixture of leeks, chives, cabbage, and Chinese mushrooms makes this dish a refreshing and healthy option.
YAKI BUTA GYOZA ($4.80)
Directly translated to pan fried gyoza with pork, the uniformly shaped gyozas has a crispy crust on one side and generous filled with a pork and cabbage mix. The succulent pork was rich and oozing out with its own savory juices while the cabbage gave it a nice refreshing crunch.
YAKI MENTAIKO MISO GYOZA ($7.80)
This food item is particularly more expensive compared to the previous ones because of one thing, a whopping serving of Mentaiko-Miso Sauce! Even though the filling is the same as the pan-fried pork gyozas, the topping makes all the difference by providing a savory explosion of umami in your mouth! It may be pricey, but one must never say no to mentaiko!
The quality of the gyozas were really good and I was thoroughly satisfied! The only setback was the limited fillings to choose for the gyozas as both the prawn and king crab gyozas were not available during my visit.
