In case you haven't notice, the latest food hype now is the limited edition McFlurry from McDonald's! Although it was previously made available in Malaysia, it has finally made its way to Singapore! I believe this is one that took most locals by surprise, even me. It's the king of all fruits - D24 Durian flavour! Be warned though, it is not cheap (as compared to other regular sized McFlurry) to indulge in this decadent dessert.

The D24 Durian McFlurry starts off with its signature vanilla soft-serve, before a ladle of durian sauce is poured over and stirred - McFlurry style. The durian sauce is made with actual durian puree which swirls around pockets of vanilla ice-cream with a sweet pungent aroma and taste. Pack with durian flavour and a little surprises of durian pulp here and there to excite your mind and make you go "OMG this is real durian".

The taste however, starts to get repetitive and jelak over time, and the sweetness of both components starts to get overpowering. The lack of texture doesn't help too.

Overall I feel that this is worth a try, even though it costs $4.00. The breath of durian will linger in your mouth for a fair deal of time, so be careful and make sure to ONLY burp when no one is around! Don't say I never warn you ah!
