BAKE - Is It Worth Queuing Two Hours For Cheese Tarts?

As the old saying goes, "good things come to those who wait", and over at BAKE, customers are required to queue up over an extensive period of time to get a hold of these precious cheese tarts. Some might be curious about why the long waiting time, it's because BAKE regularise a maximum of two customers entering the shop at any given time, allowing the utmost attention from the staffs, ensuring the best service possible.

For a costly price of $3.50 for a single cheese tart, many would consider it as being overpriced. Even so, many often still purchase the box of six tarts for $19.50, which comes in a well-design bright yellow box with intricate holders for the cheese tarts within, and slowly notice as envious eyes gaze at your BAKE cheese tarts from afar.

BAKE's delectable Hokkaido's cheese tarts first starts off with it's pastry tart, where it is first baked similar to a cookie. After-which, a unique blend of Hokodate cheese is added for it's mild flavor, Betsukai cheese for it's full bodied flavour and French cheese for a saltier balance, is blended to form the cheese mousse to fill the tart pastry and baked a second time to create a twice-baked pastry.

There are different ways to enjoy BAKE's Cheese Tarts, and eating them fresh out of the oven is possibly the best way to savor it's fullest flavor. A bite through one of the cheese tarts and I immediately fell in love. The combination of the firm crispy cookie tart shell that provides buttery and crumbly texture and paired with a luscious cheese mousse that is both thick and creamy, but yet light on the palate, are what makes BAKE a cut above the rest.

My favorite way to enjoy BAKE's Cheese Tart would be freezing the tart itself. The distinct silkier texture which resembles ice-cream, makes it the perfect way to enjoy it during the hot weather and also makes it a unique way to enjoy the classic Cheese Tart.

BAKE's Cheese Tart has certainly impressed with it's packaging and especially the quality of their tarts. It would be the perfect gift for foodies like me, and I would definitely return for more! The only exception is, if the queue wasn't that long.
