Bún thịt nướng chả giò ($11.90)
Bún thịt nướng is also known as rice noodles with grilled meat, and its a popular dish in Southern Vietnam which consists of Vietnamese rice vermicelli noodles and grilled pork, finished off with roasted peanuts, pickled carrots, fresh herbs and lastly drizzled with fish sauce.

Chả giò, also known as minced pork sausage is then cut up and tossed into the bowl.

Nước chấm or Vietnamese fish sauce, is the key component that binds the ingredients together. This mild and light fish sauce provides an almost refreshing sweetness but also a savory fishy note.

Do not be deceived by the simplicity of this dish. The interplay of textures and flavors from the rice vermicelli noodles and fresh vegetables provides a refreshing bite that resembles almost like a salad, in contrast to the crisp fried pork rolls and succulent fried pork belly that adds a savory and hearty element to the dish.

This dish was surprisingly delicious and light on the palate, making it a refreshing dish to order.


Phở Gà ($11.90)
Phở Gà is a Vietnamese noodle soup dish consisting of broth, rice noodles, herbs and sliced chicken. The phở is served with a side of garnishes that consists of lime, beansprouts, lettuce, Thai basil and sliced chilli. Chilli sauce is also provided on the side to adjust the level of spiciness.

The rice noodles were sadly overcooked and simply too mushy, while the lack of intensity in the broth was screaming for condiments to be added. even though the lime and chili sauce did slightly help. The sliced chicken however was succulent and complimented well with the aromatic herbs and sharpness from the onions.


Even though the Phở was a disappointment, the Bún thịt nướng chả giò is a definite must try if you are unsure of what to get! We did not order any "wrap & roll" items as we wanted to order something more filling. Maybe on our next visit?
