Rasa Istimewa Waterfront Restaurant - Riverside Dining At Woodlands Waterfront

Feeling romantic and thinking of a riverside dining experience? Why not visit Rasa Istimewa Waterfront Restaurant, a halal certified restaurant that specializes in Muslim seafood. Some of the must-try here are the Ikan Bakar and Satays!

Overlooking a gorgeous riverside view of the Causeway Link and our neighboring country Malaysia, it's a great place to have lunch or dinner for both small or large groups. Visit during evening time to enjoy the sea-breeze and you might even get to see the beautiful sunset!

TOM YUM FISH SLICE SOUP ($12.00)
Topped with an assortment of vegetables and sliced mackerel, the bowl is then filled with a spicy and sour soup. The soup wasn't robust enough and lacked balance, with the sour component being too strong. Although generous with the portions of cabbage, baby corns, mushrooms, cauliflower and broccoli, the sliced mackerel were dry and sadly overcooked.

KANG KONG WITH SAMBAL BELACHAN ($8.00)
Stir fried with a generous amount of sambal belachan, the Kang Kong was slightly on the saltier side and provided a good amount of heat. Perfectly cooked as it still retains a firm bite.

The view was great but the food was slightly below expectation, maybe because I didn't try their specialty items such as their seafood and satays.
